Virna Dwi Oktariana Asrory Associate Professor, Ophthalmology Department at Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia Dr. Virna Dwi Oktarina Asrory graduated in 1999, became an ophthalmologist in 2004 and finished her PhD in 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia. She served as a fellow and went for short courses in several institutions such as the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital Melbourne in 2007, the Royal Perth Hospital/Lions Eye Institute Perth in 2011, and the Universitay Hospital Basel in 2011. In 2012, she worked on the Ultrasound Biomicroscopy at the National University Hospital Singapore. During her PhD program, Dr. Virna received a patent for the Virna Glaucoma Implant, which is currently being used to treat glaucoma in Indonesia. Dr. Virna is an Associate Professor in the Ophthalmology Department FMUI for medical students, registrars and fellows. She is involved in research and publications, and currently serves as the chair of the Indonesian Glaucoma society, which is actively organising conferences and webinars to spread glaucoma awareness in Indonesia. She is also a board member of Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society since 2022.
Visanee Tantisevi Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University
Visanee Tantisevi Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University Dr Tantisevi is currently an Associate Professor, Vice Chairman and Head of Human Resource and Physicals management and Head of Center of Excellence in Glaucoma at the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University. She is also appointed Glaucoma Consultant at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health as well as a regular consultant at MedPark Hospital, a top-tier private international hospital in Bangkok. She is also the Public Relations and International Affairs officer for the Thai Glaucoma Society. Her interests are not limited to glaucoma but also in cataract surgery, especially cataract in glaucoma patients which is always a challenge to her. As a trainer, she has been doing, mentoring, and participating in glaucoma and/or cataract researches both locally and internationally. She is also a founder of The Interhospital Glaucoma Conference, the academic meeting of the Thai Glaucoma Society for residents and glaucoma fellows. As an expert, she is regularly invited to speak and chair sessions in various national and international scientific conferences including World Glaucoma Congress as well as an invited reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals in Ophthalmology.

Yu-Chieh Ko Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology at School of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Yung University Dr. Yu-Chieh Ko currently serves as the Director of the Glaucoma Service at the Department of Ophthalmology at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Additionally, she holds the position of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the School of Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Yung University. In addition to clinical research on glaucoma, she has been actively involved in integrating artificial intelligence into glaucoma diagnosis and the management of retinal disorders.
Alan Robin Associate Professor, Ophthalmology and International Health at Johns Hopkins University
Alan Robin Associate Professor, Ophthalmology and International Health at Johns Hopkins University Dr. Alan L. Robin currently holds joint Associate Professorships in Ophthalmology and in International Health at the Johns Hopkins University and is also a Professor at the University of Michigan. He is a leader in the clinical management and scientific study of glaucoma, and was the first executive vice president of the American Glaucoma Society from 2019-2023. Dr. Alan Robin was a HEED fellow and a recipient of two NIH RO1 grants as well as an award from the Glaucoma Research foundation. He has been an active clinical investigator in initial studies of widely used glaucoma medications including apraclonidine, latanoprost, brimonidine, brinzolamide, and rho kinase inhibitors. He was the principal investigator and developed Nd:YAG laser iridotomy, responsible for the development of alpha-agonists for clinical use, and performed the first modern prevalence study in India. Dr. Alan Robin has published over 275 peer-reviewed seminal articles on the use of lasers, drugs, and surgery for glaucoma treatments in addition to manuscripts on cost effectiveness and adherence. Dr. Alan Robin’s current research interests include pseudoexfoliation, medical waste, and improving adherence to glaucoma therapies. He is one of the most knowledgeable ophthalmologists on adherence, and has won many honors and awards during his career, among them the senior honor and Secretariat awards of the AAO, the Outstanding Humanitarian Service award of the AAO and the American Glaucoma Society, Secretariat Award of the AAO, and the silver achievement award of the Associate of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
