Join us for the webinar "Deep Dive in Normal Tension Glaucoma – Update on New Disease Concept and Management" on Saturday, 14 September 2024, at 18:00 GMT+8, Singapore time.
This session will delve into comprehensive NTG management, focusing on innovative strategies beyond traditional intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction. Topics will include lowering episcleral venous pressure (EVP), optimizing ocular blood flow (OBF) dynamics, and ensuring 24-hour IOP control. Attendees will explore advanced research, treatment options, and practical approaches to enhance patient outcomes through a multifaceted approach to NTG care.
All participants of the webinar will receive a certificate of attendance. Not sure when the webinar takes place in your location? Clickhere to convert the webinar time to your local time.

Ocular blood flow is an important factor associated with development and progression of glaucoma. This seems to be clinically significant in normal tension glaucoma. In my talk, I present evidence related to this topic and go over aspects of ocular blood flow in terms of autoregulation and autonomic control of the blood flow to optic nerve head and their clinical significance.

Updates in Treatment for NTG – current medications
Normal-tension glaucoma (NTG) is on the same spectrum of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) but at the different side of it. Still the intraocular pressure is the only modifiable risk factor in normal-tension glaucoma. The lecture will cover the percent IOP reduction required to slow down the disease, the medications currently prescribed, the candidates of new medication, and the IOP lowering effect of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) in NTG.
