In 2020, the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society launched a Webinar and MasterClass series that offers updates and insights on glaucoma from glaucoma experts. This is just one of the society's many initiatives to impart high-quality glaucoma education, improve learning and foster collaboration. These webinars are streamed on YouTube and open to the public. This month, we feature a MasterClass on Myopia and Glaucoma by Dr Norman Aquino.
There is a complex, often challenging, relationship that exists between myopia and glaucoma.
This Masterclass will present and explore this relationship in terms of epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management. Emphasis will be placed on the numerous ramifications and difficulties involved in the diagnosis and monitoring of these disease conditions. The outcomes associated with LASIK, glaucoma and cataract surgery will also be taken up.
